Multiply your binary math skill with 24bitsa.day
A fun little game idea I had last year after building a personal kb based bit manipulator to have a better sense of the binary space. All sounds and graphics are my own.

What it does
A daily binary math game.
The point of this game is to figure out how much the binary number is increasing in decimal. The game counts down to 0 from 16 bits, that means the numbers flip 65535 times. If you start the game at midnight, you have until ~3:30pm before the game ends. Your score starts at 0 and goes up faster if you lose a life or two. The lower your score is, the better--so be right quick! There is no score display until the end, as that would defeat the point! It is advised you be familiar with binary numbers. If you aren't don't worry, they're not scary, they're just a little different. Below you can find a representation of 8 bits and their corresponding values. Take some time to study this, but not…from 24bitsa.day

I made a web game that makes practicing basic arithmetic fun2024 · worchle.com · ▲161Hey, maker here. After launching a daily word search game, I randomly thought of this math game while driving. Finally got around to making it and I think it turned out pretty cool. It’s a math search game that’s meant to help you practice your quick addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. I’m hoping it’ll help people (even those like me who aren’t big on math) learn and increase their speeds. (There are also some settings you can enable to make the game harder) If you try it out, please let me know if you found it fun, if you have anything you’d like me to add, or if you…

I realized that the PDF engines of modern desktop browsers (PDFium and PDF.js) support JavaScript with enough I/O primitives to make a basic game like Tetris. It was a bit tricky to find a union of features that work in both engines, but in the end it turns out that showing/hiding annotation "fields" works well to make monochrome pixels, and keyboard input can be achieved by typing in a text input box. All in all it's quite janky but a nice reminder of how general purpose PDF scripting can be. The linked PDF is all ASCII so you can just open it in a text editor, or have a look at…

21st.dev▲1,211I originally built this app to organize and reuse interesting React + Tailwind components I came across on Twitter, inspired by the shadcn/ui approach. Later, a friend started contributing their own components, and it got me thinking—this could grow into something bigger, like an NPM for design engineers to share and use components. Would love to hear your thoughts!
