In plain words
MusicLM is an AI model by Google that generates high-fidelity music from text descriptions. Users can input detailed prompts like "a calming violin melody backed by a distorted guitar riff" to create original music compositions. The model uses hierarchical sequence-to-sequence modeling to produce consistent, high-quality audio at 24 kHz that can sustain for several minutes. It is designed for musicians, producers, and anyone interested in AI-assisted music creation.

MusicLM, a model generating high-fidelity music from text descriptions such as "a calming violin melody backed by a distorted guitar riff". MusicLM casts the process of conditional music generation as a hierarchical sequence-to-sequence modeling task

MusicLM casts the process of conditional music generation as a hierarchical sequence-to-sequence modeling task, and it generates music at 24 kHz that remains consistent over several minutes. Our experiments show that MusicLM outperforms previous systems both in audio quality and adherence to the text description. Moreover, we…from google-research.github.io

- ITI trained an AI model on 120M+ songs from iTunes2023 · maroofy.com · ▲753
Hey HN! I just shipped a project I’ve been working on called Maroofy: https://maroofy.com You can search for any song, and it’ll use the song’s audio to find other similar-sounding music. Demo: https://twitter.com/subby_tech/status/1621293770779287554 How does it work? I’ve indexed ~120M+ songs from the iTunes catalog with a custom AI audio model that I built for understanding music. My model analyzes raw music audio as input and produces embedding vectors as output. I then store the embedding vectors for all songs into a vector database, and use semantic…

This works suprisingly well. Just give it instructions like "make it winter" or "remove the cars" and the photo is altered. Here are some examples of transformations it can make: Golden gate bridge: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/brycedrennan/imaginAIry/ma... I integrated this new InstructPix2Pix model into imaginAIry (python library) so it's easy to use for python developers.

The project is called QueryStorm. It uses Roslyn to offer C# (and VB.NET) support in Excel, as an alternative to VBA. I've posted about it before, but a lot has changed since then so figured I'd share an update. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository). The AppStore can be used by anyone with the (free) runtime component. Another great addition is the community license, which is a free license for individuals and small companies…

Hey HN! Some more info: I’m an NHS doctor and the founder of Pi-A (https://www.pi-a.io) which developed Lungy (https://www.lungy.app). Lungy is an app (iOS only for now) that responds to breathing in real-time and was designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and beneficial to do. It hopefully has many aspects of interest to the HN community – real-time fluid, cloth and soft body sims running on the phone’s GPU. My background is as a junior surgical trainee and I started building Lungy in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in London. During COVID, there were…
