My midweek project - karmurl

Inspired by the following post by photon_off... http://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=1683309 I made karmurl last night. It's a simple app where you submit a URL for feedback, then for every piece of feedback you give to someone else's, you get to read one piece of feedback for yours. http://karmurl.com

My midweek project - karmurl launched on September 15, 2011 with 26 votes, #57 of 306 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches.

In plain words

Karmurl is a feedback exchange platform where users submit URLs and receive critiques from others. To unlock feedback on their own submissions, users must first provide feedback on other people's URLs. The system creates a reciprocal model that encourages participation and community engagement around constructive criticism of web projects.

    Lists.sh – A Microblog for Lists2022 · lists.sh · ▲271

Greetings, creator here! I've been working on a new blogging platform specifically for lists on and off for a few months now and I'm excited to officially announce its launch. After seeing https://charm.sh a few months ago, I've been enamored by the idea of SSH apps. I decided that a blogging platform focused on developers could be the perfect use case for an SSH app. Also, I love writing lists. I think restricting writing to a set of lists can really help improve clarity in thought. The goal of this blogging platform is to make it simple to use the tools you love to write and…

Hey HN! We built Postel because posting consistently on X was taking way too much time and mental energy. With Postel you can: - get personalized post ideas in your voice - see how other creators would write your idea - turn YouTube/videos/articles/podcasts into short posts - repurpose your existing content & brand knowledge - browse thousands of viral tweets → draft, edit, and schedule posts Would love to hear what you think! Cheers!

  • I built a platform for projects to find maintainers2022 · seeking-maintainers.net · ▲49

A few days ago, someone I follow asked the community for help maintaining his side-project, 512kb.club. This got me thinking. There are loads of maintainers out there feeling burnt out, but they can't abandon their project since people are depending on the project to be maintained. In an effort to combat this, I built a website that lists projects looking for new maintainers. It's still quite empty and has some rough edges. Any feedback is very welcome!

A community for designers to hone their skills, critique and share work2012 · swrm.io · ▲9

Check out http://swrm.io Basically, we created a feedback platform, and launched it as a tool to allow designers to crowdsource feedback from other designers. The idea is that this tool would allow designers to improve, share knowledge, learn new skills, and consistently deliver their best work. There's a lot that still needs to get done, including making money, letting posts die out after a certain time, and making the site faster by generating image thumbnails. Any feedback would be appreciated and I'd be happy to answer any questions. Feel free to sign up. Thanks!

    Dweets.com – Microblogging for Devs2023 · dweets.com · ▲27

Built this to microblog everything I am learning as a dev. It's an MVP, lots to improve on! Would love some feedback. (: Also am looking for a job (preferably remote since I'm in SG), 1.5 years in as a Jr Dev at a local startup, self-taught by building stuff. I'll be on Twitter if you're interested! @raymondmoay
