MyListResort

Groceries, chores and home upkeep in one shared list

What it does

Groceries, chores, home maintenance, events, recipes: one app your household shares in real time. The part other list apps skip: tap "opened" on an item and it starts an estimated freshness countdown built from public USDA storage data, so half a jar of salsa stops becoming a science project. Installs straight from the browser, works offline, scans barcodes, and sends morning and evening reminders. Free tier is genuinely usable. Paid is $14.99/year. No ads, no data selling, ever.

A fast grocery list your family shares in real time, with estimated once-opened freshness windows based on general storage guidance. Free, installable.

Mark an item opened and the app shows an estimated quality window, using its built-in shelf-life guidance for hundreds of products. Scan a product barcode to add it without typing. No fridge inventory to maintain. Freshness is opt-in, per item, and it pings your phone as the estimate approaches. These dates are quality estimates, not food-safety determinations; storage and handling vary, so follow package and official guidance and discard food when in doubt. Share a list with your household and changes normally sync across connected devices in near real time. Network or service interruptions can delay updates. Owners, members and view-only roles are enforced by the server, not just hidden…from mylistresort.com

  • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up.
