In plain words

Node.js node_modules file pruning is a tool for developers working with Node.js projects. It removes unnecessary files from the node_modules directory, reducing project size and improving installation speed. The tool helps clean up dependencies by eliminating redundant or unused files that npm installs by default, making projects more efficient without removing functional code.

ts-remove-unused is a command line tool for TypeScript projects that auto-fixes unused `export`s. It removes the export keyword from the declaration or the whole declaration based on its usage in the project. There are some similar tools but they are focused on "detecting" rather than "removing" so I've built one myself. I wanted a solution that's as minimal as possible; config files to specify the files in your project shouldn't be necessary because that info should be already configured in tsconfig.json. All you need to do is to specify your entrypoint file. Feedback is much appreciated!

Colin here, creator of Nub. I’ve had the general shape of this in mind for years. Nub runs your code with stock `node`, augmented with a `--require` preload hook[0] that adds a transpiler (oxc-powered, packaged as a Node-API add-on), registers a module resolution hook[1], and injects polyfills as needed for APIs like `Worker`, `Temporal`, etc. All purely additive, your code ultimately runs using Node’s actual engine & stdlib implementations.
