What it does
Most fintechs offer wallets to freelancers in Pakistan where your balance sits in a pooled FBO account on the fintech’s internal ledger. You don’t have an individual bank account in your own name on the bank’s core system. If one user violates terms, reviews or freezes can impact multiple users. With Nostro, your account sits directly on the partner bank’s ledger. Your funds are held at the bank and separated from other users. Thus, 1 user’s violation doesn’t automatically freeze everyone else.
