What it does
Hey Product Hunt! I built a free browser game for everyone who loves Super Mario Odyssey. If you know GeoGuessr, you’ll feel right at home: you get dropped into a Kingdom and have to pin your exact location on the map. • Go solo: Play custom rounds with an optional timer. • Battle friends: Real-time multiplayer with 5000 HP (closer guesses deal more damage!). • Contribute: Submit your own favorite spots. Play OdysseyGuessr free: a GeoGuessr-style Super Mario Odyssey guessing game. Spot the kingdom from a screenshot, pin the exact location and battle friends in 4-player multiplayer.
OdysseyGuessr drops you into a screenshot from Super Mario Odyssey and asks one question: where is this? Pick one of the 17 kingdoms — from Cap Kingdom and Sand Kingdom to New Donk City, Bowser's Kingdom and the Darker Side — then zoom into the kingdom map and pin the exact spot. Guess the wrong kingdom and you score nothing; guess right and the closer your pin lands, the more of the 5,000 points you keep. Play free rounds in single player , or jump into 4-player multiplayer where every player guesses the same location and the closest guess deals HP damage until one player is left standing. Hi HN, I made a web game to practice country locations a while ago and HN liked it, so I thought I'd post my updated version as well. As for how the game works and feels, I'd really recommend you checking it out for yourself, it's free, no signup, no ads. The tech stack is Vue + ts + Tailwind/Daisy for the looks.
