OfferComp
Compare tech offers properly. No spreadsheets.
What it does
I got tired of messy spreadsheets every time I compared job offers, so I built OfferComp. It lets you throw in up to 3 offers and see the real picture - equity cliffs, sign-on clawbacks, contractor vs employee, COL adjustments (US & UK), and clean year-by-year charts. Free, no login, no nonsense. Still a work in progress. Would love your honest feedback!

Hi HN, This is a mixture between a Show and Ask HN. I really appreciate your time and thoughts on this. My name is Alexis and I would like to show you something I've been working on on the technical side: It's called Huddle Metrics. I've been working on this the last few days after seeing a post on reddit calling for this exact website to exist. I'm hoping the email-less/account-less and open data might be appealing. I'd love any feedback you might have, and of course if you were to volunteer some data ;) I'm aware it looks bad on mobile atm.

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
