One Tile

100,000 strangers. One photo each. One massive digital mural

What it does

One Tile is a collaborative digital mural being built by 100,000 strangers. The concept is simple - pay $1.99, upload one photo, it becomes a permanent tile in the mural. The mural grows in real time as people join. When all 100,000 tiles are claimed, the mural is complete No utility. No promises. Just a permanent piece of something being built together. Inspired by the Million Dollar Homepage, but instead of anonymous pixels, real photos from real people. Built in one night. Currently on day 4.

    WebTiles – create a tiny 250x250 website with neighbors around youJan 2026 · webtiles.kicya.net · ▲230

There is a large grid of 250x250 tiles, on which you are be able to create a tiny website, contained into the tile. You can basically consider the tile as a mini version of your website, showcasing what your full site has (but it can be anything). You are able to link to your full site, and use any HTML/CSS/JS inside. The purpose is to create beautiful and interesting tiles, that could be used for exploring the indie-web in an easy and interesting way.

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
