Openinary – Self-hosted image processing like Cloudinary

Hi HN! I built Openinary because Cloudinary and Uploadcare lock your images and charge per request. Openinary lets you self-host a full image pipeline: transform, optimize, and cache images on your infra; S3, Cloudflare R2, or any S3-compatible storage. It’s the only self-hosted Cloudinary-like tool handling both transformations and delivery with a simple URL API (/t/w_800,h_800,f_avif/sample.jpg). Built with Node.js, Docker-ready. GitHub: https://github.com/openinary/openinary Feedback welcome; especially from Cloudinary users wanting the same UX but on…

    OpenWorkers – Self-hosted Cloudflare workers in RustJan 2026 · openworkers.com · ▲500

I've been working on this for some time now, starting with vm2, then deno-core for 2 years, and recently rewrote it on rusty_v8 with Claude's help. OpenWorkers lets you run untrusted JS in V8 isolates on your own infrastructure. Same DX as Cloudflare Workers, no vendor lock-in. What works today: fetch, KV, Postgres bindings, S3/R2, cron scheduling, crypto.subtle. Self-hosting is a single docker-compose file + Postgres. Would love feedback on the architecture and what feature you'd want next.

I created a 100% Open source Company-wide Self-hosted File Sharing Solution for Teams Recently, I wanted to share HD images and video files with my graphic designer. She’s exceptional at her craft but isn’t familiar with AWS S3 So, I got an idea and built this. Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

  • Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
