What it does

You know that daily ritual — opening 10 tabs, scanning for updates, copy-pasting notes? OriginBrief replaces it. Register 2–5 topics. OriginBrief monitors primary sources — official docs, research papers, press releases — and delivers concise AI reports on your schedule. • Primary sources only (no blog rehashes) • 5-level trust rating — unverified claims flagged automatically • Weekly reports for all plans / Monthly summary for Pro Built for anyone with a list of sites they check every week.

Automated regulatory monitoring and industry tracking from primary sources you choose. Weekly cited reports for 2-5 themes — research on autopilot.

Pick the official sources you trust — company blogs, research papers, regulator pages, and press releases. OriginBrief checks them every week, shows what changed, and links every claim back to the source. Key points, important changes, and linked sources — in a format designed for weekly monitoring. Set a theme once — OriginBrief keeps tracking your primary sources for regulatory, competitor, and market changes, and delivers a source-backed report every week. Every report is built from official announcements, government documents, press releases, and other high-trust sources — always cited. OriginBrief surfaces the important differences from the previous report so you can spot new…from originbrief.app

I decided to build my own AI feeds reader since I wanted features I couldn't find, or at least not in the way I wanted to, for instance: - Filter news by interest/category - Cluster same story from different sources into one - Show short summary of each new so you can skip if it's not really that interesting to you - Track relevant AI figures, but not only their tweets and posts but also their appearences in articles and interviews I'm still tuning it and improving it everyday.

A few weeks ago I posted an early version of this. It was just an MCP doing web search for AI assistants. Since then it evolved rapidly. The problem I kept running into is that when I use an LLM for research, it gives me citations that look right but aren't most of the time. Sometimes the paper doesn't exist. Sometimes it does exist but it's been retracted. Most times the sources are not fully vetted nor truly relevant to my search. I got tired of checking these manually. That's why I built this updated MCP. It looks the work up in Crossref to confirm it's real. It checks the Retraction…

We built Origin after realizing nobody on our team could answer "which AI wrote this?" when a bug appeared. Origin hooks into Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini, and Codex. Every commit gets tagged with which agent wrote it, what prompt generated it, which model, and what it cost. Run `origin blame` on any file and you see [AI] or [HU] per line — like git blame but for AI agents. All data stored in git notes. No server required, works offline, zero lock-in. CLI is open source (MIT): github.com/dolobanko/origin-cli Team dashboard: getorigin.io Would love feedback on the attribution…

  • With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
