An open-source, collaborative, WYSIWYG Markdown editor2023 · editor.vrite.io · ▲460Inspired by the design and UI/UX of apps like Notion, and utility of open-source apps like StackEdit, I decided to create a minimalistic, local-only WYSIWYG Markdown editor. Some features worth highlighting: - Monaco editor and Prettier integration for code snippets - Tables (apparently the holy grail of WYSIWYG editing) - Embeds (for CodePen, CodeSandbox and YouTube, most useful for HTML or JSON exports) - Accepts Markdown paste-in, and "exports"/generates HTML, Markdown and JSON outputs - Collaboration (with real-time awareness and initial commenting system, available only when…
Pagy 1.02023 · pagy.co · ▲375Hi, today I launched Pagy, a website builder that works like Notion. It’s currently limited to one-page websites but I’m planning to add support for multiple pages soon. I’ve been working on this for over a year and half on the side, and recently quit my job to go full-time on it. The front-end is built on React and Next.js, running on Vercel, and I’m using Slate.js for the editor. The back-end is a Ruby on Rails API, running on Render. Would love to hear your thoughts and happy to answer any questions.

FlowershowMar 2026 · flowershow.app · ▲174I'm Rufus, one of the founders of Flowershow. We love markdown and use it everywhere from making websites, to docs, to knowledgebases. Plus AI splits it everywhere now. Got tired of the framework/config/deploy overhead every time we wanted to share a file or put a site online. So we built the thing we wanted. Files in. Website out. "Vercel for Content" is our aspiration - make deploying (markdown) content as fast, seamless and easy as Vercel did for JS. Command line plus you can connect to github repos, use Obsidian via plugin, or drag and drop files. npm i -g…

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
