PCGoals — plan a compatible PC build

Plan out your PC build with this apps saving tool

What it does

PCGoals is a new website made to help users plan a pc build by using the most popular parts or using their own links and are able to calculate savings plans. multiple builds can be saved allowing for convenient usage. Premium users are able to save 10 builds, add unlimited links and use our recommendations for their budget. In the future I would like this website to be a real competitor to PCPart picker and BuildCores and get API from brands like canada computers, amazon and newegg.

Compare prices across Newegg, Canada Computers, Memory Express, and Amazon.ca. It'll flag socket, RAM, wattage, and clearance problems before you buy anything, and turn the total into a weekly or monthly savings number. Go category by category, CPU through case. Specs come from a catalog checked monthly, with prices last-checked across four retailers. Wrong socket, wrong RAM type, PSU too small, cooler that can't keep up, GPU too long for the case — it catches these while you're still picking, not after you've ordered. Save the build, then turn the total into a savings amount per week, per two weeks, or per month, checked against what you actually take home. Premium is a one-time purchase,…from pcgoals.netlify.app

  • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up.
