Stempad – Fast Online Scientific Writing2024 · stempad.io · ▲144I'm building an online text-editor editor to write and save scientific documents fast. Here's a video of how it works: https://youtu.be/Hyk8CvCdEWE As an engineering student, I hated that handwriting was the only viable way to do fast or impromptu scientific writing. It would be the only way to take quick notes in class or in a lab, write an assignment, or create a presentation. Here's a few things I witnessed in academia: * Unsuitable editors: Students attempt to resort to text editors unoptimized for science, such as Notion or Word, to take notes and write assignments. *…
SkilldocsAug 2026 · skilldocs.dev · ▲192I got fed up with Notion, so I built my dream document editor. It's all markdowned so it's easy to view skills or other agent-related documents. It's got the collaboration features I love from Figma (shared cursory and the ability to follow) and Google Docs (comments, realtime editing). Then you can export the diff and comments to an agent. I've been really liking it for talking over skill documents live on a call. I'm curious if this resonates with other people. More generally, I feel like notion is less and less relevant in an age where documents have a very different purpose and Markdown…

Hi everyone, I built PyXL — a hardware processor that executes a custom assembly generated from Python programs, without using a traditional interpreter or virtual machine. It compiles Python -> CPython Bytecode -> Instruction set designed for direct hardware execution. I’m sharing an early benchmark: a GPIO test where PyXL achieves a 480ns round-trip toggle — compared to 14-25 micro seconds on a MicroPython Pyboard - even though PyXL runs at a lower clock (100MHz vs. 168MHz). The design is stack-based, fully pipelined, and preserves Python's dynamic typing without static type restrictions.…
