Pikdapp

What it does

I've spent the past months building pikapp.in, program for distributing photos effortlessly. So, what we've have noticed is usually, we have lots of events, weddings, school events, etc. But there is not a reliable way to distribute photos. So, we've built pikdapp, where the host can upload all the photos they have, get a QR/link and then share that with the guests at the party. The guests then, can easily scan their face, and get all their photos. Would love to hear feedback!

AI-powered event photo distribution with instant guest photo matching

Hosts upload their gallery. Guests take one selfie. Pik delivers every photo they appear in, privately, in under 2 seconds. No app. No account needed to view. Create an event, set your invite code, and upload your full gallery. Pik indexes every face privately. No app. No account. Guest enters the invite code, takes a selfie, and Pikdapp instantly surfaces every photo they appear in across the entire gallery. Every matched photo appears in seconds. Save and download at full resolution. Whether you shoot one wedding a year or run 20 corporate events a month, Pik handles distribution so you focus on the shoot. One dashboard for everything. No app. No account. Enter the invite code your host…from pikapp.in

  Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481

Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
