PollUp
Making events more connected
PollUp launched on January 24, 2023 with 62 votes, #1,060 of 3,901 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 3 years on.
What it does
PollUp makes it easy to create more engaging and connected events by giving you a canvas called the "event wall". The wall collects posts from social media and a PollUp mobile site, also allowing organisers to engage their audience with polls.
Making audience engagement easy and fun.
We make it easy to bridge on-site, online and social media. Engage with interactive polls, word clouds and Q&A. Seminar, training, prize gala - you name it. Regardless of the event, PollUp makes interacting with your audience easy. Make it simple for your audience to ask questions via an easy-to-use mobile site. Integrating social media to your event has never been this easy: add your hashtags and you're ready to go. All messages and social media posts are added to a sleek event wall, ready to be shown on the big screen. Real-time polling gathers your audiences opinion to one place. Visualize your audience's thoughts with word clouds and utilize traditional multiple-choice polls. Display…from pollup.co

This works suprisingly well. Just give it instructions like "make it winter" or "remove the cars" and the photo is altered. The current version includes a host of new features, namely a C# debugger, support for NuGet packages, and the ability to publish Excel extensions to an "AppStore" (which is essentially a NuGet repository). The AppStore can be used by anyone with the (free) runtime component. Another great addition is the community license, which is a free license for individuals and small companies…

Hey HN! Some more info: I’m an NHS doctor and the founder of Pi-A (https://www.pi-a.io) which developed Lungy (https://www.lungy.app). Lungy is an app (iOS only for now) that responds to breathing in real-time and was designed to make breathing exercises more engaging and beneficial to do. It hopefully has many aspects of interest to the HN community – real-time fluid, cloth and soft body sims running on the phone’s GPU. My background is as a junior surgical trainee and I started building Lungy in 2020 during the first COVID lockdown in London. During COVID, there were…
