In plain words

PostgreSQL Exercises is a learning platform that teaches SQL through hands-on practice problems. It provides a series of questions and explanations built around a single dataset, covering topics from basic SELECT statements and WHERE clauses to advanced concepts like window functions and recursive queries. The site is designed for people learning SQL who want to supplement their reading with practical exercises, offering a structured way to build skills progressively from beginner to intermediate levels.

From the sources

Welcome to PostgreSQL Exercises! This site was born when I noticed that there's a load of material out there to help people learn about SQL, but not a great deal to make it easy to learn by doing. PGExercises provides a series of questions and explanations built on a single, simple dataset. It's designed for use as a partner to a good book or Postgres' excellent documentation . The exercises on this site range from simple select and where clauses, through joins and case statements, and on to aggregations, window functions, and recursive queries. Most people who aren't already pros should find something to test themselves with. For an introduction to the dataset, go to Getting Started , then…from pgexercises.com

This extension let's you write PRQL functions in PostgreSQL. When I first saw PRQL on Hacker News a few months ago, I was immediately captivated by the idea, yet equally disappointed that there was no integration for PostgreSQL. Having previous experience with writing PostgreSQL extensions in C, I thought this was a great opportunity to try out the pgrx framework and decided to integrate PRQL with PostgreSQL myself. The maintainers of both PRQL and pgrx were very nice to work with. Thanks guys.

We've been hard at work for a few weeks and thought it's time for another update. In case you missed our first post, PostgresML is an end-to-end machine learning solution, running alongside your favorite database. This time we have more of a suite offering: project management, visibility into the datasets and the deployment pipeline decision making. Let us know what you think! Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
