Publish websites from your markdown notes.

Hello Hacker News, I've been working on Relentless for a couple months now. I wanted to create a note taking app that lets you write, structure and publish Markdown Notes. I know there are many similar tools out there but I couldn't find something that 1. Works offline. 2. Syncs when online. 3. Provides rich publishing of notes. (Syntax highlighting, Math support) 4. Has GFM support. I think a tool like this needs to exist to make it easier to publish a section of your notes to a website. For me, a lot of creative writing happens in my notes app. There's a lot of essays and short thoughts…

In plain words

Relentless is a note-taking application that converts markdown notes into published websites. It works offline and syncs when connected to the internet, supporting GitHub Flavored Markdown, syntax highlighting, and mathematical notation. Designed for writers and thinkers who want to share their notes and creative work online without extensive setup, it streamlines the publishing process from note to website.

In the maker’s words, at launch

Hello Hacker News, I've been working on Relentless for a couple months now. I wanted to create a note taking app that lets you write, structure and publish Markdown Notes. Has GFM support. I think a tool like this needs to exist to make it easier to publish a section of your notes to a website. For me, a lot of creative writing happens in my notes app. There's a lot of essays and short thoughts that I'd like to share but it ends up never being put out because its too much work to actually wire everything up and publish to a blog. I'm sure a lot folks have the same problem. I hope Relentless helps me and all of you in publishing our thoughts to the internet. Best, Pranay

Thank you for your comments, just some context: - The app is available for iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and the Web. - The Web version is implemented as a Progressive Web Application that is very responsive, local first, offline first, can be installed, and is entirely free to use. - Native (hybrid) versions do not require subscription fees and have small one-time payment. - You can store your notes in Git using any Git provider such as GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket. However, it has the best built-in integration with GitHub. Self-hosted scenarios like Gitea are also…

    Nash, I made a standalone note with single HTML file2025 · keepworking.github.io · ▲536

Hello HN, I hope it will posted as well. I made a note in single html file. This does not require a separate membership or installation of the software, and if you download and modify an empty file, you can modify and read it at any time, regardless of online or offline. It can be shared through messengers such as Telegram, so it is also suitable to share contents with long articles and images. It is also possible to host and blog because it is static html file content.

    Supernotes 2 – a fast, Markdown notes app for journalling and sharing2022 · supernotes.app · ▲251

Hi HN – we first launched Supernotes[1] to HN in April 2020, and since then Tobias and I (it's just the two of us) have put in the work to make what we hope is an amazing note-taking app. Although the note-taking / personal knowledge management landscape is incredibly competitive at the moment (with lots of great apps adding great new features every day), we think that with the newly released Supernotes 2 we're keeping pace and delivering a unique and satisfying knowledge management experience. Here's the combination of features that make us stand out: - a powerful markdown-based…

    Unforget, the note-taking app I always wanted: offline first, encrypted2024 · unforget.computing-den.com · ▲274

Hi HN! I created Unforget out of years of frustration with Google Keep and the lack of alternative that met all my needs. I hope you find it useful too! Features include: - import from Google Keep - offline first including search - sync when online - own your data and fully encrypted - Desktop, mobile, web - lightweight, progressive web app without Electron.js - markdown support - programmable with public APIs - open source [1] While I still use org mode for long-form notes with lots of code, Unforget has become my go-to for quickly jotting down ideas and to-do lists after migrating the…
