What it does
The drag-and-drop visual editor you can embed in any React application. It's MIT licensed, fully customizable, uses your own components, and saves your data wherever you want. No fees, no limits, no vendor lock-in.
Let your users generate, review, and refine production-ready interfaces inside your application with Puck.
Let your users, your team, and your agents build production-ready interfaces inside your app. Generate experiences in Puck using your components, brand, and data. Personalize pages with real-time generative UI driven by your data. Bring existing components or define rules for new ones to control what Puck can produce. Connect your backend APIs, systems, and data so generated pages stay grounded in real information. Provide the agent with context and specifications to guide and control what it can do. Unlike other tools, Puck is designed to run inside your app for both team members and end users. Bring your own UI, tools, and workflows to integrate deeply with your app. Generate dynamic…from puckeditor.com

Puck – Open-source visual editor for React2025 · github.com · ▲32I first shared Puck here back in Sept 2023, and wanted to give a quick update! Here's the original post: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=37391848 Puck let’s you embed a page building experience within your own React application. It integrates with any backend or CMS, and since it’s MIT licensed, you can safely use it in internal tools or customer-facing products. A lot’s changed since then; here are my highlights: * Multi-column drag-and-drop with full CSS layout support (Grid, Flexbox, etc) * Viewport previewing * Headless mode for completely custom interfaces *…
Puck – Open-source visual editor for React2023 · github.com · ▲451Hey hackers, OP here! I've been dipping in and out of this problem space for the last few years with many of my clients. Puck sits somewhere between an old-school WYSIWYG-powered CMS and headless one, allowing content teams to author content using real React components. Traditional CMS solutions were flexible but often resulted in page that completely broke the brand guidelines. Headless CMS solutions are a fantastic way of controlling brand by restricting UI changes to developers, but makes layout changes restrictive and slow as developers often need to get involved. Puck provides a visual…
Puck 0.18 adds drag-and-drop for CSS grid and Flexbox2025 · github.com · ▲51Hey HN! I just released Puck 0.18 with a new drag-and-drop engine for CSS grid and flexbox support. You can now use Puck to create a page builder that behaves like a design tool, but embedded within your own app and using your own React components. To use it, just add `display: flex` (or grid, etc) to your DropZone and Puck will gracefully handle drag-and-drop across all dimensions. Shout out to the dnd-kit maintainer Claudéric for the collaboration and support (if you’re reading this, I just sponsored you on GitHub!) and as always, a huge thanks to my wonderful community for all the testing…

I made this because building UIs in a lexical medium like code is super annoying. I have to pre-render what I’m making in my head, and then jump between the browser and IDE to test. I was inspired by the developer console in chrome and safari since I end up editing css there because it’s ironically more convenient. Hope it’s useful!
Puck (Visual Editor for React) now supports viewport switching2024 · github.com · ▲6We've been working hard to add viewport previewing to Puck, our MIT visual editor for React, over the last few months. In order to get device-like viewport previewing with CSS media queries etc, you need to render your content within an iframe. Drag-and-drop is a core part of Puck's experience, but is famously difficult to pair with iframes. We didn't want to compromise Puck's experience, so we released two new packages to support this effort: 1) @measured/dnd, a fork the underlying dnd library (@hello-pangea/dnd, a maintained fork of react-beautiful-dnd) to support both iframes…

Talanoa▲341Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!

For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
