PVLevel (beta version) launched on April 9, 2026.
What it does
Just programmed the "kind-of" GoogleMaps App for PV panel installation - love to hear your opinion! GoogleMaps uses GPS, compass, gyro etc., downloads location dependent data & guides you with live sensor data & their local algorithms to your destination. In the same way PVLevel uses the same live sensor data, downloads scientific solar data & uses local real time algorithms to display live PV energy & earnings of your PV panels & guides you during measuring, optimizing, planning & installing.
Install solar panels perfectly in real time. See instant energy & earnings impact using only your phone. Over 1000 users worldwide.
The simplest solar panel alignment app for installers, DIY users, and professionals worldwide. Poor alignment silently kills performance. Today, installing solar panels usually means: Even professionals often don't optimize precisely — because it's slow and inconvenient. Plan PV panel alignment instantly on-site, before finalizing it in the office on extensive software tools. Plug-in solar panels (no electrician needed) have just become legal in the UK and will go on sale soon. Helios estimates how much electricity a typical installation could generate at a given address and what that's worth against your tariff. It uses UK government LIDAR data to reflect the actual skyline, so it knows whether there's a building or a hill blocking the sun. Caveats: - Outside LIDAR coverage (most of Scotland and Wales) it falls back to a synthetic horizon (less accurate). - Trees and recent developments (post-2022 or so) may not be in the data, and some address placements could…

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
