QualGent

I built an AI agent that can do mobile app QA after working at Google for years and waiting weeks for QA results. It runs on real devices and uses an ensemble of agents (including computer use) to test like a human. Happy to answer questions and hope it helps app devs ship faster without bugs!

QualGent launched on December 16, 2025 with 296 votes, #71 of 11,628 launches that month and more than 95% of that year's launches.

In plain words

QualGent is an AI-powered QA testing platform designed for enterprise teams building mobile apps. Users describe tests in plain English or provide app context, and the system automatically generates and executes tests on iOS and Android devices or emulators. It handles regression testing, UI changes, and multi-app workflows with self-healing capabilities that adapt to app updates. The tool targets fast-moving development teams seeking to expand test coverage and accelerate release cycles without manual test creation.

From the sources

QualGent is the enterprise-grade AI QA agent that helps you test apps at the speed of thought. Describe tests in plain English or connect your app context. QualGent creates tests and runs them on emulators or real iOS/Android devices with self-healing reliability. It autonomously handles regressions, UI changes, and multi-app flows. Fast-moving teams that serve millions of users already use QualGent to 10x test coverage and ship high-quality releases faster, with confidence, every time.

QualGent is the quality flywheel for AI-built software. Every bug, fix, and test result makes the next release smarter. Every agent-generated change adds new states, flows, and regressions your team still has to verify. When apps generate content, layouts, and experiences dynamically, scripted tests miss what users actually see. A flow can work and still feel confusing, off-brand, awkward, unsafe, or wrong. Human judgment matters more than ever, but humans cannot manually inspect every AI-generated path. Agents can run more tests faster, but without real-world grounding and human calibration, speed does not equal trust. Bugs get fixed, tickets get closed, and the learning disappears instead…from qualgent.ai

Hi, I'm Daniel, CEO of QA.tech. We've spent the past 18 months developing a cool tool that allows you to run end-to-end tests on any web application using natural language. Check it out and let us know what you think! I used to be a CTO at a B2C marketplace and was taken aback that all qa agencies we talked to wanted to create a custom suite of tests from scratch. Even though we were essentially a e-com with the same functionality as everyone else. Why weren't there any best practices? Some time later my co-founders and I had moved on and were looking for the next thing to do. AI agents…

Hey HN, I’ve been working on Quash, a mobile-first QA tool where you can write test flows in plain English and have an agent execute them on real Android devices. We’ve finally shipped a downloadable desktop app (macOS, Intel + Apple Silicon), and you can try it now. No managed “demo” environment – it runs tests against your own apps and devices. (Can connect any device locally as well)

  • Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
