Railway
Hacked together a service in Go https://github.com/xlab/cdn-s3-go that routes content request to any arbitrary S3-compatible bucket. Some infra providers are offering free egress, but buckets are only private (hello Railway), and not geo-distributed. An L4 balancer will cost a fortune (hello Cloudflare). cdn-s3-go solves this by looking up objects, generating a pre-signed URLs and redirecting the clients directly. Free egress, cheap public geo-distributed CDN!

In plain words
Railway is a cloud platform that simplifies software deployment by requiring minimal configuration. It supports projects in any programming language, from small applications to larger systems, and automatically handles the technical setup needed to get code running. Designed for developers who want to focus on building rather than managing infrastructure, Railway removes complexity from the deployment process by letting users bring their code and letting the platform manage the rest.

In the maker’s words, at launch
At Railway (I work there), we're putting on a hackathon starting August 6th. Build a template for others, whether it be for full-stack apps or a headless CMS. We've seen people deploy traditional apps or infra to host marketing blog sites (we host ours on Railway). Upto $1000 in prizes for project complexity or…

Render2019 · render.com · ▲318Hey HN, I'm Anurag, founder and CEO of Render, a cloud for application developers. We've just launched Render Workflows, a way to define durable tasks by decorating plain TypeScript or Python functions and running them on Render without operating queues, worker pools, retry logic, and state management. Code example below [1]. The use cases we have in mind include agent loops, ETL/data pipelines, billing flows, and other long-running jobs. The model is simple: mark an existing function as a Task, deploy the repo as a Workflow, then trigger runs from your application code or via our API.…

Follow London Trains in 3DJul 2026 · ride.nexttrain.london · ▲156deck.gl based visualiser of the TFL Api + National Rails to be able to track (with minimal drift) a train along the way in London and to the nearest airports. If you pick one from any platform in https://nexttrain.london basically you can share your train journey along the rails. Build to test Cloudflare workers and their infra along with deck.gl performance that is incredible in my opinion.

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
