In plain words
Rebaser is a Git tool that enhances interactive rebasing by displaying which files each commit touched. It shows a 'todo' list similar to `git rebase -i` but with additional file information represented by alphanumeric characters. Commits can be safely reordered if they don't modify conflicting files. The tool is designed for developers who want greater visibility into file changes during interactive rebases.

git-prebase improves on 'git rebase -i' by adding information per commit regarding which files it touched. The flow is exactly like an interactive rebase, only that the 'todo' list will now contain the additional information. Below is an example of the 'todo' list created by git-prebase. Each file gets an alpha-numeric character at a particular column, a list of which appears below the commit list. Commits can be moved up and down safely (no conflicts) as long as they don't have any clashing columns. @koreno , or you can add script to your PATH , name it git-rebaser for example and make executable with chmod +x . It will also work out. You should os.path.expanduser(...) for the editor since…from gist.github.com

I made a git rebase TUI editor2024 · github.com · ▲115I use interactive rebase quite often, and particularly like the editor bundled with IntelliJ. But I do not always work with IntelliJ, and am not 'fluent' with Vim, so I tried to replicate roughly the same rebase experience within a TUI. I used a small TUI OCaml project i made last year. The notable features are: - Move commits up and down, fixup, drop - Rename commits from the editor (without having to stop for a reword during the rebase run) - Visualize modified files along commits - 'Explode' a commit ,creating a commit for each modified file (a thing I found myself doing quite often)…
