I built this in 2018 as a school project to bulk delete GitHub repos. It got 25k views on Medium and ~10k users organically, then I basically ignored it for years. Recently I dug into GitHub's community discussion board and some low hanging fruit for feature additions — archive, visibility changes, collaborator cleanup. GitHub's answer was always "use the API." RepoSweeper launched on February 18, 2024 with 57 votes, #901 of 3,962 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.
What it does
