Rerit
Transform your writing instantly
Rerit launched on August 14, 2025 with 13 votes, #983 of 8,530 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does
The writing tool that works everywhere. Rephrase text instantly with complete privacy, right from your system. Works in Gmail, Notion, Word, and more.
Select text in any app and rewrite it in place with one keyboard shortcut.
Select text in any app. Press ⌘ ⇧ E . Rerit rewrites it exactly where you are—without opening another tab. Watch Rerit capture only the selected sentence, show visible progress, and replace the words in place. Highlight one sentence or a complete draft inside the app you are already using. Press ⌘ ⇧ E. Rerit starts immediately and gives you a clear progress signal. The rewritten result replaces the selection. Your cursor stays where the work is. Rerit is not another writing destination. It is a thin, fast layer over the places where writing already happens. No copy-paste loop. The result lands where your original text was. A focused status capsule appears without pulling you out of the app.…from rerit.vercel.app

Talanoa▲346Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I built the world's most impractical 1000-pixel display and anyone in the world can draw on it. It draws a single pixel at a time and takes 30-60 minutes to complete a single image. Anyone can participate in the project by voting for the next image to be drawn, and submitting images. https://kilopx.com/

Kitten TTS is an open-source series of tiny and expressive text-to-speech models for on-device applications. We are excited to launch a preview of our smallest model, which is less than 25 MB. This model has 15M parameters. This release supports English text-to-speech applications in eight voices: four male and four female. The model is quantized to int8 + fp16, and it uses onnx for runtime. The model is designed to run literally anywhere eg. raspberry pi, low-end smartphones, wearables, browsers etc. No GPU required! We're releasing this to give early users a sense of the latency and voices…

I was wondering how I can arrange objects along a spherical helix path, and read some articles on it. I ended up learning about parametric equations again, and make this visualization to document what I learned: https://visualrambling.space/moving-objects-in-3d/ feel free to visit and let me know what you think!

For HTML Day 2025 [1], I made a web service that displays the current sky at your approximate location as a CSS gradient. Colours are simulated on-demand using atmospheric absorption and scattering coefficients. Updates every minute, without the use of client-side JavaScript.
