Back then, getting a computer to think, search the web, update a spreadsheet, and more was the frontier. The possibilities felt endless in the open canvas. As I spoke about this project with friends, they asked to try it out. In January, this project became Respell! It was clear then, as it is now, that we all had the same goal in mind for AI. Hey! I made Heynote entirely for my own use case. For many years, I always had an Emacs instance running with the scratch buffer open, even long after I had abandoned Emacs as my programming editor in favor of more recent IDE:s.
