Riven
Your Apple Watch knows when you've truly hit muscle failure

What it does
Riven turns your Apple Watch into a muscle failure tracker. It auto-detects your exercise, counts reps hands-free, and measures rep speed loss — the science-backed signal of true muscle fatigue — to tell you if you actually trained to failure or stopped reps short. Built for hypertrophy and strength training: no camera, no bar sensor, no extra hardware — just the watch you already own. Get a 0–100 failure score after every set, so every workout drives real muscle growth.
Riven is the Apple Watch app that scores muscle failure. It counts reps, names the exercise and scores each set the moment you rack it. No clip, no camera.
Automatic exercise detection, rep counting, and failure tracking — powered entirely by the motion of your Apple Watch. So you can focus on the lift, not the log. Leave your phone in the locker. Riven runs entirely on your wrist — no setup, no straps, nothing to forget. Riven sees your set start — reading motion, heart, and rhythm a hundred times a second from your wrist. It's bench. No taps, no menus. The watch face just knows — and starts logging. Every rep, on your wrist. Velocity and heart rate logged for every one — silently, without a single tap. True failure. Now you know whether you finished the exercise — or whether next set, you go harder. Riven handles every set, every exercise,…from riven.fit

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
