One tap from your inbox keeps your Strava gear accurate

What it does
Strava tracks gear mileage (shoes, bikes, all of it) but only if you remember to set the right pair on every activity. Most people forget, and the miles drift until something's worn out without warning. Rotation.run fixes this with zero new habits. After each run, walk or ride you get one short email where your gear shows up as buttons. Tap what you used and it syncs to Strava. No app to install, no dashboard to check. The email is the app. Free, and setup takes about 30 seconds.
Rotation.run nudges you after every Strava run to log which gear you used — one tap keeps your gear mileage accurate.
After a run, walk or ride, the gear field is easy to forget. Rotation.run nudges you so your gear and your mileage stay accurate. Hey Runner, we noticed you ran 8.4 km. Tap the shoes you wore and we'll update your Strava. Link Strava and your email. That's the last setup you'llfrom rotation.run

Runo 2.0Jan 2026 · runoapp.com · ▲132I built Runo after years of inconsistent marathon training. GPS watches tell you your pace AFTER it's too late. So I made a simple metronome that plays a beat at your target cadence (steps per minute). New in 2.0: Apple Watch haptics (run to the beat without headphones), Strava sync, and social features. 4.7 on App Store, 10k+ runners. Would love feedback from the HN community.

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
