Rotomo
A casual tile maching game with emojis
What it does
Bear with me, this is my second app in the app store. I got inspiration to this from an old board game that my kids played and I wanted to explore the game and its rules programmatically. Started with a Testflight version for my family to play, I soon thought, why not finish it up and submit it as real app. This is considered a playable MVP, I'm still refining the gameplay and have a few ideas to make it even more fun.

- AIAn iPad app to teach kids how to program2011 · ▲57
This app is a graphical programming environment for kids to learn coding by creating animations. Although we released it to the app store it's still more of a beta version and we would love to solicit feedback from HNers with iPads. To me, programming is something that kids could really enjoy but the obstacles in their way (getting a programming environment, publishing their code, learning syntax) make the barriers to entry unnecessarily high. We're hoping this will be a good first step in overcoming some of that. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/daisy-the-dinosaur/id490514278?ls=1&mt=8…

Hi hn, Its been a while since my kid has been dreaming to make videogames, as you know, the entry bar is high, too many technical details are involved. A few months ago, we started making games, we have tried many different ways, from dragging blocks to write code with a high-level library to make it simple, it is still too much work. Getting into the AI boat, I decided to give it a try for making games, turns out that it works super nicely, still, you still have many technical concepts involved, what language should the game be written in? where do you store the file/assets? how do you…

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
