Every clip means leaving Premiere: search, download, dig through Downloads, import. Runner puts stock footage sites inside the panel, so you grab a clip and drag it onto the timeline without breaking the edit. It also converts codecs Premiere cannot decode, such as AV1 and VP9, which otherwise import as audio with no picture. Windows. Premiere Pro 2020 to 2026. Free in beta.

Runner puts stock sites and YouTube inside Premiere Pro. Find a clip, grab it, drag it onto the timeline. And when Premiere cannot read the codec, which happens constantly with YouTube, Runner converts it on the way in. No email needed to download. No card, no trial timer. Mac is not ready yet. Every clip you pull costs the same five steps and the same broken concentration. It is not the seconds. It is that you leave the edit. Every feature below exists because someone testing it sighed at their screen and told me about it. A real browser lives in the panel, so you are not stuck with whichever APIs a developer wired up. I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role.
