Saathi AI - My mother called me at 11pm last year. Not because something was wrong. Just because she was lonely. She's 68. Lives alone in Lucknow. I'm abroad. She had no one to talk to. That call made me build Saathi AI. WHAT IS SAATHI AI? Saathi AI is India's first voice-first AI companion designed specifically for elderly Indians aged 60-86+. Not a chatbot. Not a health tracker. A genuine daily companion that talks to them in Hindi and English — warmly, patiently, like a family member.

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
