Sage
Every coding agent you run, in one place.
Sage launched on June 3, 2026 with 2 votes.
What it does
It's a local inference engine we built from scratch in Rust. The engine, the agent, and the tooling are all our own. What's inside: - Editor: integrated terminal, file viewers, IDE - Security: All agents and tool calls run inside a kernel-level sandbox, so it can only touch what you allow. - One click to run: We kept it simple, no Docker, no servers to point at, no config files. Download the app, open it and its running.
Conifer routes to the Pareto frontier: the cheapest seat that still clears the work. Name a model and that model is served.
No charge. The runtime, the router and local inference are free. Over 200 models behind api.conifer.build : the frontier labs and the open-weights field, Qwen, DeepSeek, GLM, Kimi, Llama and the rest. Or bring your own provider keys. Cloud tokens bill at the model’s own rate and nothing on top. Your own keys and your own hardware, through any llama-compatible endpoint or our engine, cost nothing. Each query gets those four chosen for it as it arrives. All you send is thefrom conifer.build

The Sage Programming Language2024 · github.com · ▲114Sage is a Rust-like programming language built on a brainfuck-inspired VM with LLVM-like properties. https://github.com/adam-mcdaniel/sage Check out the web-demo to run the compiler in the browser, along with a graphical example using JavaScript interop! https://adam-mcdaniel.net/sage Sage is designed to be portable, but also useful. To prove its usefulness, I used it to implement a user-space for a new operating system: SageOS https://github.com/adam-mcdaniel/sage-os The language also runs on embedded devices, like the flipper zero!

Hi HN! We just launched Verdent, an AI coding agent that actually plans before it codes, tests its own work, and delivers production-ready results without you having to clean up after it. tl;dr Check out the website [1] and read the story [2] - The problem: Current AI tools dump code and leave you to debug. You ask for "build a login endpoint" and get a passwordless JWT mess that doesn't fit your project. We've talked to hundreds of engineers who are frustrated with having to micromanage AI output. - What we built: Verdent works more like a senior engineer. It asks clarifying questions…

AgenMar 2026 · agenhq.com · ▲138AI changed the way we code, but we're still using the old processes, and we've become the bottleneck, the AI is waiting for us - to reply, to open our laptops, to review the code, and so on. We're building the future of AI software development. The agents are autonomous, they run in sandboxes, automatically fix the pipelines, and deliver you the final, working code. You can use live preview to see the changes they made. Working across multiple repositories, all within the same session. This is the future - you don't need an IDE, and you don't have to run anything locally.

Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
