Smart barcode scanner for price comparison
What it does
Simply scan the barcode of a product, and the app will automatically fetch details like the product name and package size using an open API. You then save the price at a specific supermarket.

Text a picture of a barcode to 508-401-SCAN (508-401-7226), and you'll get product information / a picture of the product. I built this last night using Twilio's MMS api, Amazon's Product API, and python's zbar library. Also works with Google Voice.

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into!
