SeaHeal은 빗소리, 파도소리, 숲속 소리, 벽난로 소리 같은 자연의 소리를 원하는 비율로 섞어 나만의 수면 사운드를 만드는 무료 앱입니다. 사운드 믹서 외에 수면 타이머, 오늘의 기분을 한 줄로 기록하는 마음날씨, 상황별 가이드 명상을 함께 제공합니다. 소리를 고르는 기준은 사람마다 다릅니다. 어떤 분은 빗소리에 금방 잠들지만 어떤 분은 파도소리가 더 편안하다고 하십니다. 그래서 정해진 조합을 틀어주는 대신, 직접 섞어보며 자기에게 맞는 소리를 찾도록 만들었습니다. 잠을 깨우는 것은 소음의 크기 자체보다 갑작스러운 변화 인 경우가 많습니다. 조용하던 방에 자동차 경적이나 위층 발소리가 끼어들면 뇌가 각성합니다. 빗소리나 파도소리처럼 넓은 주파수 대역에 고르게 퍼진 소리는 이런 소리가 덜 두드러지게 만듭니다. 소음을 없애는 것이 아니라, 소음이 튀지 않도록 배경을 깔아주는 원리에 가깝습니다. 빗소리와 파도소리에는 일정한 리듬이 있지만 완전히 똑같이 반복되지는 않습니다. 이런 소리는 주의를 붙잡지 않으면서 정적을 채워 줍니다. 반대로 가사가 있는 음악이나 말소리는 뇌가 내용을 따라가게 만들어 잠들기를 방해할 수 있습니다. 매일 같은 소리를 같은 시간에 트는 것 자체가 몸에 "이제 잘 시간"이라는 신호를 줍니다. 수면 위생에서 규칙성이 강조되는 이유입니다. 소리 자체의 효과보다 이 습관의 효과가 더 클 수도 있습니다.…from seaheal.app
