Search Engine for Local Events
Hi, this is a project I have been working on for the last 1 month. :) The search engine is designed to make discovering events easier and faster with only one search input. To keep my budget down, only these cities are available for search at the moment: Barcelona, Berlin, Hamburg, Lisbon, London, Munich, NYC, Paris, SF, Singapore. (I’m happy to take on requests) The tech stack is Rails 8, Tailwind. What do you think?
Search Engine for Local Events launched on May 19, 2025 with 17 votes, #913 of 7,905 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
In plain words
Search Engine for Local Events is a tool that helps users discover events in major cities with a single search query. Currently available in Barcelona, Berlin, Hamburg, Lisbon, London, Munich, New York City, Paris, San Francisco, and Singapore, the platform streamlines event discovery by eliminating the need to check multiple sources. Built with Rails 8 and Tailwind, it caters to travelers and residents seeking entertainment and activities in their area. The maker accepts requests to expand to additional cities.

Tapflow 2.0▲1,125We built Tapflow for devs, designers, PMs, and tech folks who’ve been sitting on internal docs, templates, and systems — but never productized them. Upload a PDF, notes, or workshop deck, and Tapflow drafts a structured product (with chapters, teaser and pricing plans). It’s good for AI kits, onboarding guides, design systems, and frameworks. You can sell through Stripe, LemonSqueezy, or PayPal. Real-time collaboration is in early beta. No site builder, no LMS — clean design and just focused tools to ship. Fully bootstrapped and just launched on PH today →…
