SEO는 구글·네이버 같은 검색엔진 순위를 높이는 작업이고, GEO는 ChatGPT·Perplexity 같은 AI 답변엔진이 내 사이트를 출처로 인용·추천하도록 만드는 작업이에요. 기반이 되는 신호(사이트맵, 구조화된 데이터, 크롤러 접근 허용 등)는 대부분 겹치지만, AI 크롤러는 자바스크립트를 거의 실행하지 않는다는 점이 가장 큰 차이예요. 각 결과 카드에 복사 버튼이 있어서 직접 붙여넣어도 되고, 함께 제공되는 "에이전트 프롬프트"를 통째로 복사해서 Claude Code·Cursor·Lovable 같은 AI 코딩 도구 채팅창에 붙여넣으면 알아서 적용해줘요. 크롤러마다 사이트를 읽는 방식이 달라요. 구글은 자바스크립트를 어느 정도 실행하지만, ChatGPT·Claude·Perplexity 같은 대부분의 AI 크롤러는 실행하지 않아요. 하나의 점수로는 이 차이를 보여줄 수 없어서 엔진별로 나눠서 보여드려요. 아직 표준으로 자리 잡은 지 얼마 안 된 파일이라 없다고 치명적이진 않아요. 다만 AI 크롤러에게 사이트 구조를 알려주는 좋은 신호라서, 있으면 GEO 점수에 도움이 돼요. 사이트를 아무리 잘 고쳐도 구글에 등록하지 않으면 검색에 뜨지 않아요.
