In plain words

Shade is a free Mac application that hides desktop clutter by covering it with a customizable overlay. Developed by Limit Point Software, it allows users to keep their desktop organized and out of sight while working. The app is simple to configure and use, making it suitable for Mac users who prefer a clean workspace without deleting or organizing files.
