What it does

Batch compress images and videos on Mac. Drop hundreds of files or entire folders, pick your settings, and shrink in seconds. No uploads, no cloud, everything processed locally on your device. Reduce file sizes by up to 90% while keeping quality intact. Supports 50+ formats including JPG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, MP4, and MOV. Built for photographers, designers, and creators who value speed and privacy.

The fastest native macOS app for batch compressing images and videos. Process thousands of files locally with complete privacy. Supports RAW, HEIC, MP4, and 30+ formats.

Stop wasting bandwidth. Shrinkpad is the native desktop app for creatives who value their time and disk space. Shrinkpad automatically analyzes visual complexity to apply the perfect compression ratio without artifacts. Reduce app bundle sizes and website load times significantly. 90% of users see faster LCP scores. Process thousands of assets without crashing. Unlike web tools, Shrinkpad handles massive queues with ease. You don't have to manually export individual assets from Figma or Photoshop. Just export everything at 2x/4x and let Shrinkpad handle the optimization and renaming in bulk. No more dragging files one by one. Just drop an entire folder and Shrinkpad instantly finds all…from shrinkpad.app

I am a developer. I have been building stuff for the last 13 years. One common challenge in all my projects is compressing assets to make them as small as possible. I used to end up using online compressors, but this has a lot of privacy concerns. So, I finally set down for couple of weeks and built this simple app. I can just drag and drop assets in it and it shrinks them. It currently supports around 25 file types. I built a lot of iOS apps but this is the first time building a macOS app, so any feedback is welcome.

  • Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
