SiteGrid

What it does

Sitegrid helps contractors organize job site photos in one place instead of losing them in camera rolls and chats. Create a project, snap photos on site, and quickly send clean, timestamped photo reports to clients. Built by a solo indie dev for small crews who need simple, reliable documentation of their work. I’d love feedback from anyone who runs a crew, manages multiple jobs, or needs a simple way to keep visual records of their work.

SiteGrid helps contractors, adjusters, and architects create professional, GPS-stamped photo reports instantly on iOS. Offline-first, Xactimate-compatible PDF exports.

SiteGrid is an iOS application designed to solve the "photo organization hell" faced by field adjusters, general contractors, and architects. Unlike standard camera apps, SiteGrid embeds GPS coordinates, compass direction, and timestamps directly into the photo metadata. It allows users to categorize photos by room (e.g., Living Room, Roof) and damage type (e.g., Water, Fire) in real-time. Key architectural decision: Offline-First. SiteGrid does not rely on cloud connectivity to function. All data is stored locally in a high-performance database and synced to the cloud only when a connection is available and the user has a Pro subscription. Homebrew 6.0.0▲1,481

Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!

Hi HN! I was super frustrated at apps like tiktok and wechat preventing me from saving or downloading the animated gifs, so I made a little tool to turn a screen recording into a slack-sized emoji. Hope you get some value from this!
