In plain words
Skruv is a lightweight JavaScript framework designed for developers who want to build web applications without external dependencies or complex build processes. Released in 2021, it offers a minimal, straightforward approach to frontend development. The framework is ideal for developers seeking simplicity and direct control over their code, avoiding the overhead of larger frameworks and toolchains. Skruv emphasizes small file size and ease of use, making it suitable for projects where minimal dependencies and quick setup are priorities.

No-dependency, no-build, small JS view-library/framework-ish-thing. Same example using just the core library, without bundling. It does mostly the same thing, with the differences being: The core of skruv is the render function. It takes a structure created by elementFactory and optionally which DOM node to write to. It has built in support and typings for HTML, SVG, MathML, Atom feeds ( why not RSS? ) and sitemaps. Since some elements exist in multiple namespaces these elements are prefixed with their type: svgA svgScript svgStyle svgTitle atomTitle atomLink atomSummary atomSource . For usage in SSR you can also create comments using the element name skruvComment and raw output with…from skruv.io

Dagger.js – A buildless, runtime-only JavaScript micro-framework2025 · daggerjs.org · ▲80TL;DR: dagger.js is a buildless, runtime-only micro-framework that plays nicely with native Web Components. It uses HTML-first directives (e.g. +click, +load) so you can ship a page by dropping a single from a CDN—no bundlers, no compile step. Why I built it Modern stacks are powerful but often heavy: bundlers, compile steps, framework DSLs, local CLIs. For internal tools, small apps, and edge/serverless deployments, I wanted something you can view-source, paste into a page, and ship. What it is: Runtime-only: no build or VDOM compile; hydrate behaviors directly on HTML. HTML…

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
