Smallest Quest is a minimal roguelike you can play without a big time commitment. It crams all the strategy of a traditional roguelike into a juicy 5-level nugget of gameplay. It's specifically designed to be kid friendly. Enjoy!

Smallest Quest is a simple hand drawn roguelike that is kid friendly. I love roguelikes but I know a lot of people are too busy for long games. I designed Smallest Quest to be quick to play and visually pleasing. It crams all the strategy of a traditional roguelike into a juicy 5-level nugget of gameplay. I also designed this game to be accessible for kids and RL newbies. My kids get stressed out by realtime combat games like Zelda, and I found they quickly took to the calm considered pace of turn based games. The RL format gives them the exciting combat of a RPG in a low-stress package. I hope it can stand as a nice friendly introduction to the deep roguelike genre.
