SmileTime

Stop scrolling. Start Smiling. 😊

SmileTime launched on December 18, 2025 with 3 votes, #4,354 of 11,628 launches that month.

What it does

SmileTime is an app that allows you to block your distracting apps and unlock them with your Smile. When you open a distracting app, it asks you to smile at your camera for a few seconds. It's been proved that smiling (even when forced) releases feel-good chemicals like dopamine and serotonin, helping you relax and feel happier instantly. That tiny moment breaks autopilot—sometimes you scroll intentionally, sometimes you don’t scroll at all.

SmileTime - Unlock your phone by smiling for 10 seconds. Build a healthier relationship with technology, one smile at a time.

  • Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
