What it does

Hi! I built an Android app called Solsli that shows expected sunny hours in nearby cities ☀️ The idea is to help when planning quick trips—like “where should I go this weekend if I want the most sun?” Right now it shows nearby locations and compares sunshine hours so you can pick the best option. I’m especially unsure about: Is the idea actually useful? Is the UI clear when comparing cities? If anyone wants to try it, I’d really appreciate honest feedback (good or bad). I’m trying to improve it

  I really like Stellarium and SkySafari but I felt like these are primarily geared towards exploring the sky but not so much "here are the long list of things I want to see, when can I see them tonight and where". There's also not really a great option I've found that combines sky object planning + location weather details while still being free so I built this.   I love the sunlight and dread the long, dark winter evenings of Northern Europe. I often look up sunrise / sunset times and count off the days until the darkness is gone. Now I've written a terminal app for this (Mac/Linux) Features: a colorful summary of daylight times for your location; projected change over the coming days; handles NO_COLOR and a ---short flag if you dislike the output format.
