What it does
With our unique swipe-and-discover system, you can connect with people who share your passions and interests. Find your perfect language partner in seconds and start a conversation. It's simple, fun, and full of possibilities.
Meet native speakers, find language exchange partners, practice real conversations, and build confidence with translation, voice, video, Stories, and cultural context.
Speakblend connects you with native speakers through instant matching, real conversations, cultural discovery, and translation support whenever you need it. Swipe through language learners and native speakers who share your interests, then start a real conversation right away. When you get stuck, one tap helps you understand or reply so the conversation keeps flowing naturally. Interactive Stories help you rehearse travel plans, food orders, small talk, and other real-world moments with less pressure. They become confident when a real person replies, corrects gently, shares how…from speakblend.com

Meet people, have more conversations about what truly interests you2024 · pairup.social · ▲23Hi all, Andrew here. It's a conversation-finding and friend-finding app based on the things you'd most like to talk about. Sure, you have your friends, colleagues and family you can talk to, but it can be hard to go deep on your unique interests. Finding and reaching out to people on the internet is possible, but in practice I find I don’t really do it that much. It’s a bit awkward. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
