Spentrip
Hey HN, TL;DR I shipped a generic expense app (Receiptix) in July 2024. After seven months of effort it plateaued at $100 MRR, and I hardly used it myself. In February 2025, after a year of working on the project, I decided to reflect on what to do next and I also realised that I actually do use the app but only while traveling. So I niched down and rebuilt it as Spentrip. First week live: $100 in sales - already matching Receiptix’s peak. Last July I shipped Receiptix, a track-anything expense app. I thought that, by entering into a very packed market, I could capture a slice of the pie.…

Close Stop Tracking, Start Traveling Nobody wants to spend their vacation logging expenses. Spentrip keeps it quick — snap a receipt, say a voice command, or type it in. The app categorizes your spending and sorts it by trip, so you're back to your holiday in seconds. Most expense trackers are built for business travel and reimbursement reports. Spentrip is built for personal travellers. It organizes spending by trip, handles multiple currencies automatically, and shows you where your money actually went — without the spreadsheet work. ReceiptIQ Pro — Snap & Track Spending2025 · receiptiq.me · ▲13Hi HN! I’m a solo iOS dev who kept losing track of where my grocery and shopping money was going, so I built ReceiptIQ Pro. What it does: - Scan any receipt with on-device AI/OCR and instantly categorize the items. - Auto-build spending charts, budgets, and exportable CSVs—no manual typing. - Works offline; iCloud backup/restore optional. No data leaves your phone unless you choose to. - Small extras: warranty reminders, bill tracking, and income logging. Tech bits: - Swift/SwiftUI on iOS. - Apple’s Vision framework + my own ML post-processing. - A lightweight Python backend…
- KTKeep track of earning expenses better than excel sheets2011 · accountant.besperk.com · ▲33
I started to track my expenses on excel sheets earlier this year. It was interesting to see how much I spent casually on just another hangout with friends or on education. Excel sheets are painful, at least for me. So I built this with my friend: (it's just MVP) http://accountant.besperk.com Edit: Coming up next: > Mobile site and apps asap. > Graphs and reports > SSL > Custom Alerts (when you cross a certain limit, that you define, for certain tag) > Pre populated tags. Tech used: > Rails > on Heroku My co-founder is offline will ask him to add more details on…

Tapflow 2.0▲1,125We built Tapflow for devs, designers, PMs, and tech folks who’ve been sitting on internal docs, templates, and systems — but never productized them. Upload a PDF, notes, or workshop deck, and Tapflow drafts a structured product (with chapters, teaser and pricing plans). It’s good for AI kits, onboarding guides, design systems, and frameworks. You can sell through Stripe, LemonSqueezy, or PayPal. Real-time collaboration is in early beta. No site builder, no LMS — clean design and just focused tools to ship. Fully bootstrapped and just launched on PH today →…
