StayUpAI
Hi HN! I just launched StayUpAI, an all-in-one platform to stay ahead in the AI world. It aggregates AI news from multiple sources (articles, research papers, YouTube), then uses AI to summarize all news daily or weekly. Core features: - Unified AI news feed (with source/language/theme filters) - Daily & weekly AI summary emails - Summaries for each news item (papers, YouTube, articles) - Multilingual news (with translation) - Free to start, no personal info needed for a quick test I built this because tracking AI news is overwhelming, and I wanted a tool that does the curation…
StayUpAI launched on September 11, 2025 with 11 votes, #1,008 of 8,160 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.

I decided to build my own AI feeds reader since I wanted features I couldn't find, or at least not in the way I wanted to, for instance: - Filter news by interest/category - Cluster same story from different sources into one - Show short summary of each new so you can skip if it's not really that interesting to you - Track relevant AI figures, but not only their tweets and posts but also their appearences in articles and interviews I'm still tuning it and improving it everyday.

News Radar, an experiment on generating news with AI2023 · github.com · ▲7Hey folks! This is a project that I've been working in my free time for the past few months. It's a news aggregator that uses AI to select relevant articles and summarize them. The default sources are frameworks and libraries' updates, popular HN topics, and languages' subreddits threads that make past a certain threshold. You can run a local instance (needs an OpenAI key) and customize it with your own sources, and adjust the prompt as well. The resulting website can be browsed at https://dev-radar.com/ My next experiment will be with local news. I'm building some feeds with…
FiveW – Stay current on AI in 5 minutes a dayMar 2026 · fivew.xyz · ▲15Hey HN, I'm Ethan. I was spending 2 hours every morning across HN, Twitter, and newsletters trying to keep up with AI for my startup. So over the past few months, my co-founder Thor and I built FiveW to distill the latest AI developments relevant to us, in a 5 minute briefing. FiveW does three things: 1. Personalized morning briefing -- talk with an agent on onboarding, and get a daily briefing tailored to your interests that you can deep dive on. 2. Curated AI news feed -- surfaces the most important AI stories of the day from 100+ sources, in one place 3. Live market signals -- BTC, gold,…
Newsful.ai – AI-Powered News Digest Platform2025 · newsful.ai · ▲9I got tired of reading clickbait articles and seeing irrelevant ads. So I pulled in a few RSS feeds to create a news digest using OpenAI 4o-mini for summarisation. Appreciate any feedback you'all might have. PS: News-summarisation may have been done to death, but I'm a UI noob, so I'm using this project to learn some.

The site hit #1 on HN about a year ago. Got enough traffic that I turned it into a proper API. What's there: - REST API — 35k products, manually filterable by category, free key, 60 req/min - CLI — npx anycrap random -c food - faker.js plugin — bundled, no API call, works offline - HuggingFace dataset — full 35k rows for ML/training https://anycrap.shop/developers

I made a built-from scratch Wayland Compositor to display any GUI app* in the terminal! I think there is a lot of unexplored potential in custom Wayland compositors, a lot of really cool things you can embed existing applications into! So, I started with embedding apps into the terminal because that is the easiest input/output (output is just utf-8 and I use the great `chafa` library for that, and I just read from stdin for the input). If you have any other ideas for cool Wayland compositors, let me know. I purposedly wrote 80% the app in Typescript to appeal to the most developers and…

Years ago I stumbled across a basic version of this concept and it stuck with me. I knew if I was ever going to take on such a project, it would need to be flawless, but without coding experience it was just another idea that would never happen. By the end of 2024, as AI coding tools exploded everywhere, I finally had a way to make it real. I started from zero knowledge and spent months collaborating with AI agents as a learning experience. Every pixel and every function went through me. The AI translated what I asked for into code, but every decision was human. I didn't use existing OS…
