What it does
Stonks Dashboard is a TUI (Terminal User Interface) designed for developers who want to track markets without context-switching. It visualizes real-time data for Crypto, Stocks, and ETFs using dynamic ASCII charts. Key features: - Zero-config launch via `npx` - 1D to 90D trend lines - Cyberpunk aesthetic - Smart local caching to avoid API rate limits Built with Node.js, free and open-source.
stonks-dashboard --init # writes ~/.stonks-dashboard/config.json { "tickers" : [ " BTC " , " ETH " , " AAPL " , " TSLA " , " SPY " , " FXAIX " , " BARC.L " ], "cryptoIds" : { "BTC" : " bitcoin " , "ETH" : " ethereum " }, "updateInterval" : 120000 } tickers : any symbol Yahoo Finance knows (stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, .L suffix for the London Stock Exchange, .PA for Paris, ...). Assets are grouped automatically by the type Yahoo reports. cryptoIds : maps a ticker to its CoinGecko id . A ticker listed here is fetched from CoinGecko instead of Yahoo. updateInterval : refresh period in milliseconds (minimum 10000). The config file is looked up in this order: stonks-dashboard --config ~…from github.com

Community, All the HN belong to you. This is an archive of hacker news that fits in your browser. When I made HN Made of Primes I realized I could probably do this offline sqlite/wasm thing with the whole GBs of archive. The whole dataset. So I tried it, and this is it. Have Hacker News on your device. Go to this repo (https://github.com/DOSAYGO-STUDIO/HackerBook): you can download it. Big Query -> ETL -> npx serve docs - that's it. 20 years of HN arguments and beauty, can be yours forever. So they'll never die. Ever. It's the unkillable static archive of HN and it's…
