I created this app to accurately calculate light windows like Golden hour, blue hour, etc. for a particular city/location. It helps you plan your photography time by knowing the exact time and direction of sun. It uses swiss ephemeris on the backend to calculate all the path and timings for most accurate data. It also has a 3D view of the sun's path on any day and at any point of the day for the location. Looking at the sun's direction and angle can help you plan your shoot correctly. What it does
Today's golden hour, blue hour, sunrise, sunset, solar noon and moon times for New York, with light direction for photographers.
LightWindow tells you when the good light happens and where it comes from. Pick a city and it lays out the day in order: morning blue hour, sunrise, golden hour, solar noon, then the same windows in reverse as the sun goes down. Every time is shown in the local clock, so you know exactly when to be in position. The cards above also carry a compass direction for sunrise, sunset and each golden and blue hour window. That tells you which way the light will fall, so you can scout an angle or a backdrop ahead of time instead of guessing once youfrom lightwindow.app
