I built Supermemo because I was tired of organizing notes instead of thinking. It’s a single, continuous context instead of separate documents. You capture freely, and it automatically surfaces tasks and themes. The big difference is retrieval. You don’t open notes. You ask questions, and your past thinking answers back.

DoubleMemory started as an experiment to see if I can somehow automatically save all double cmd + c, as I often do instinctively, so I don't need extensions to save links and text into an app, and avoiding flooding the capture history as regular clipboard managers does. My motivation was not to create a read-it-later app, yet it evolved into this unique yet cohesive form of a read-it-later + bookmarking organizer + clipboard manager + card based note-taking app over the last 6 months. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
