SuperTerminal
One terminal surface for your AI coding agents.
What it does
SuperTerminal is an open-source desktop app for developers using AI coding CLIs. It lets you open a project, launch agents like Codex, Claude, OpenCode, Grok-compatible tools, generate project context, inject prompts into terminal sessions, and keep local session history — all from one interface. It does not bundle third-party tools, manage cloud accounts, or upload your project context. Everything is local-first and user-controlled.

Hey HN, we’re Avi, Kiet, and Satya. We’re building Superset, an open-source terminal made for managing a bunch of coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, etc) in parallel. - Superset makes it easy to spin up git worktrees and automatically setup your environment - Agents and terminal tabs are isolated to worktrees, preventing conflicts - Built-in hooks [0] to notify when your coding agents are done/needs attention, - A diff viewer to review the changes and make PRs quickly We’re three engineers who’ve built and maintained large codebases, and kept wanting to work on as many features in…

Hey HN, Henry here from Cactus. We open-sourced Needle, a 26M parameter function-calling (tool use) model. It runs at 6000 tok/s prefill and 1200 tok/s decode on consumer devices. We were always frustrated by the little effort made towards building agentic models that run on budget phones, so we conducted investigations that led to an observation: agentic experiences are built upon tool calling, and massive models are overkill for it. Tool calling is fundamentally retrieval-and-assembly (match query to tool name, extract argument values, emit JSON), not reasoning. Cross-attention…
